The purpose of the Education Placement Office is to advise and offer help to teachers and administrators who are seeking a career in education. Our goal is to help individuals find a career that is right for them! We believe that each person is unique in his/her studies and job search, and we will do our best to assist you in perusing your career goals.
It is highly recommended that each student complete a credential file. The file contains general information such as: name, address, work history, student teaching and teaching experience, personal remarks, undergraduate and graduate record and recommendation letters. Once you establish a credential file, upon your request, we will send your information to prospective school districts. Some districts require your credentials before hiring you.
The College of Education Placement Office provides our teachers and administrators with an updated listing of our six county school districts in the Metro Detroit area. This information is imperative in your job search. It offers you contact names and phone numbers, as well as website addresses for your viewing. If you require additional information regarding any school district, we recommend that you call the district at the number provided. This information can be accessed via the Six County School District Listings link.
You may visit our office to view daily job postings and information on job fairs or access our various websites. Exploring the Placement Office in The College of Education in person or via the web offers you a window of opportunities.
