Admissions
Procedure
| Application |
The
admissions procedure begins with submission of the Application for
Graduate Studies (online Graduate
Application). The application may also be mailed to WSU. Once
received, the admission department begins a file and waits for further
documentation. |
| Personal
Statement |
The
program requires completion of a personal statement. Applicants
should speak about their background and interest in a degree in
Instructional Technology. This statement is submitted to the University
with the graduate application. |
| Transcripts |
Transcripts
from all colleges, universities and schools attended must be sent
to Wayne before any action is taken on the admission application.
|
| Letters
of Recommendation |
Three
academic letters of recommendation from previous professors are
required. The College of Education has a form letter for these letters
which is sent out upon receipt of your application. Narrative letters
are also accepted. |
| Follow-Up |
While
the admission process usually works well, problems do occur. The
process typically takes 6-8 weeks. Applicants are encouraged to
follow their application by contacting the office of Graduate Admissions
(313-577-3577), Academic Services (313-577-1909) and the IT department
(313-577-1728).
Permit
to Register: If there is a delay in processing your application
please call the IT department (313-577-1728). A Permit to Register
may be given to qualified students. A Permit to Register allows
a student to take classes without being formally admitted to the
program. |
