Dr. Delano Tucker

Dr. Tucker, formerly Assistant to the Dean of the College of Education at Wayne State University, is currently Assistant Professor in the Division of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and the Sports Administration Department. He earned an Education Administration Ed.D. from Wayne State University, a M.A. in Educational Psychology from Michigan State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Wayne State University. Dr. Tucker has served as Athletic Director and Head Coach at Livingstone College in North Carolina and as Assistant Football Coach at Wayne State University. During his time at the University of California, Davis, he worked as Academic Advisor for Intercollegiate Athletics and Student Affairs and as Assistant Coach. Dr. Tucker was a teacher and Junior Varsity Football Coach for the Detroit Public Schools and a teacher, Assistant High School Principal and Skills Center Coordinator for the East Lansing School District. In accordance with his extensive educational career, Dr. Tucker was the Graduate Assistant at Michigan State under Duffy Daugherty. He coached the Offensive line at UC Davis, he was the college coach of All-Pro player Ben Coates, and also interned with the San Francisco 49ers and Detroit Lions.
 


Ron Simpkins

Mr. Simpkins is Founder and Executive Director of the Commitment to Character program; a comprehensive personal development program designed to help youth develop self-esteem. Simpkins earned a B.S. in Communication from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing an M.A. in Sports Administration at Wayne State University. He is certified as a Drug Free Youth Programming Consultant. He is also a certified Youth Sports Administrator through the National Alliance for Youth Sports. Since his very successful professional football career, Simpkins has dedicated himself to the healthy development of youth in his hometown, Detroit, Michigan. Currently a Project Coordinator for the Detroit Recreation Department, Varsity Athletic Coach for football, basketball, and track at Western International High School, Mr. Simpkins has been continually involved in city wide athletic programs and national programs, such as the NFL C.I.T.Y. youth football program.
