EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY ENDORSEMENT
Admission
to Endorsement Program
Qualifications
for Program Admission
Applicants for the endorsement must:
• Hold a bachelors degree from an accredited college or university
• Have an undergraduate GPA of 2.6 or a graduate degree with a 3.0 GPA
or better
• Have current State of Michigan teaching certification
• Be able to implement their teaching plans in a P-12 setting
* A 3.0 GPA or better is required
to complete the endorsement
Admission
Process
If you are a current WSU graduate student (admitted
to a graduate program and taking classes):
- complete Endorsement Plan of Work for your chosen Path (Path
I or Path
II).
- have Plan approved by an Endorsement advisor
- submit it to Room 489 Education so it can be placed in your existing
file.
If you are a returning WSU graduate student (completed
a graduate degree already and are now seeking the endorsement):
- complete a Change of Status
form to have your files reopened
- complete Endorsement Plan of Work for your chosen Path (Path
I or Path
II).
- have Plan approved by an Endorsement advisor
- submit it to Room 489 Education so your file can be reactivated.
If you are new to WSU and want the Endorsement in conjunction with a
graduate degree
- If you choose to also pursue a graduate degree while completing
the Endorsement, you first must apply for the graduate degree desired
(link to graduate admissions).
Once admitted to the University, follow the directions above for current
WSU graduate students to apply for the Endorsement.
If you are new to WSU and want the Endorsement only (not in conjunction
with a graduate degree):
- complete and submit an application
to the Graduate School. (this file
has the 2 page application in Word. Mail to the address on top of
application)
- Select Education as your "College
Desired"
- In the "Name of Major" section, your
major should be Non Degree PreMasters
(if you do not yet have a Masters) or Non Degree
PostMasters (if you already have a Masters).
- Your area of concentration or specialization will be Educational
Technology Endorsement (sample)
