INSTITUTE FOR THE STUDY OF THE AFRICAN AMERICAN CHILD
The Institute for the Study of the African American Child (ISAAC) enjoys the enthusiastic support of the College of Education Dean and senior leadership within Wayne State University. However, Wayne State University cannot provide the funding for the Institute. ISAAC is responsible for raising all of its operating support from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other organizations.
Below we describe giving opportunities available to those interested in supporting the Institute. Contributions are tax-deductible, and can be counted toward the Wayne State University Capital Campaign. Checks should be made out to Wayne State University/ISAAC.
For more information about giving opportunities, please e-mail Saundra Sumner at ac6642@wayne.edu or call us at 313.577.0991.
We appreciate your support!
Core Support
The Institute's greatest need is for flexible, operating support that will allow us to build our programs and to place resources in areas of highest priority. Our most immediate need is the funding of the position of Assistant Director. That person will be the day-to-day operations executive who will design a development program to get the initiatives of the Institute up and running. Funds allocated for core support will be used to develop the Mission of ISAAC which will be realized through five interrelated areas: Research, Training, Community Service, Clinical Services and Policy.
As a supporter of ISAAC, you are part of a network of individuals who make tax-deductible contributions to connect African American children to the future.
