Institute for Democracy in Education Site directed at teachers who want to create democratic communities in their classrooms. Journal with articles related to creating democratic communities, although I could only get to the table of contents, and not the articles themselves (subscription needed). Includes links to regional IDE locations and information on how to contact board members of IDE.

Movement for Democracy and Education This site is dedicated to empowering students to create democratic communities on university campuses and schools nationwide. Link to e-mail requests for information to clearinghouse, but clearinghouse is not directly available. Link to resources for campus-based activists, including information on sponsors of the groups, the environment, student-specific sites, and organizing resources.

Education for a Democratic Citizenship: A Framework Describes the goals and reasons for civic education, and gives different frameworks for incorporating civic education into the classroom.
